Plaza Midwood Community Radio "Don't Touch That Dial" Free EP - Week 1!
In Charlotte, NC, all the musicians and aging hipsters got together and formed an internet radio station to fill a void in their market. Charlotte, NC, despite being a huge city, has no college radio style station! Their station is non-profit and 100% volunteer run. It relies on donations from the community to stay afloat! So, they came up with a fantastic fundraising idea - release a FREE EP of some of their local bands/musicians once a week for four weeks. At the end of the four weeks, but the whole thing together into one giant comp that people can download in exchange for a small donation to the station.
