7 Silly Questions w/ North Atlantic Oscillation

Terrific Scottish electronic act North Atlantic Oscillation just released a new 2 disc album called Fog Electric. The album is a lush, complex mix of intelligent, well put together tracks spanning a wide range of styles. Despite being busy with all the hoopla surrounding a new record release, NAO's Ben Martin was willing to take a few moments to answer some of our highly ridiculous questions.

What's the most embarrassing band you loved as a kid?
Ben: I'm not shamed to say that I loved the Bangles' "Walk Like an Egyptian."

What is the first record you bought?
Ben: It was "Swamp Thing" by The Grid closely followed by a second hand Nirvana single - "Rape Me."

Unicorns vs. Narwhals? Who would win in a fight?
Ben: It's hard to say as one is imaginary. I suppose a Narwhal with low self-esteem would loose against an imaginary foe.

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you on the road?
Ben: Re-dubbing star wars with Scottish dialect. You need to have been there but it provided us with a lot of material at the time.

Who has the worst van etiquette?
Ben: Probably Chris our Bass payer.

Who is in heavy rotation on your iPod?
Ben: "Spirit of Eden" - Talk Talk

What is the worst fight over nothing that you got into with each other after being road weary and exhausted?
Ben: Sam once got into a fight with a unicorn - he was that tired. Luckily the Unicorn came of worse as it had a bad migraine.
